This was the river at 18.50 this evening. Gauge height 1.44m at Ballyduff. Clarity only about a foot.
The river peaked upriver at Mallow at 13.00 @ 1.77m - up by 90cm. It was down to 1.55m @ 18.50.The air temperature at Ballyduf this evening @ 19.00 was 10 °C
With the rising air & water temperatures the fish should certainly liven up.
The river should be spinnable on the upper river tomorrow.
The forecast then looks comparatively dry until Saturday evening & drier again from Sunday on.
