Highest Water Level since July 20..............................


Current Situation & Prospects: Friday, August 15 @ 22.00

Weather: 

A dry day after the heavy showers in the upper catchment
in the last couple of days.
River Height:    




   Millstreet: (50 miles upstream) for the last 5 weeks:
   Peaked @ 0.75m @ 21.00 yesterday (14th) - up another 20cm.
   This is the highest level here since July 20th.


  
  Killavullen
(22 miles uostream for the last 5 weeks:
  Peaked @ 1.27m @ 09.00 today (15th) - up another 12cm.
  This is the highest level here since July 20th.



  Ballyduff for the last 5 weeks:
  Peaked @ 1.27m @ 19.00 today (15th) - up another 8cm.
  This is the highest level here since July 26th.




This was the river @ 13.30 today - gauge height 0.24m & rising. 


Colour/Clarity:
  

It was about 4 feet throughout today.
 
Temperatures:  

Water @    Ballyduff:    13.4ºC    56.1ºF.
 Water @ Killavullen:     14.9 -  15.6C.
     Air @    Ballyduff:    15ºC  @ 18.00  today.

Run of Fish: 

Just a few fish seen moving later in the day.
                        
Catches:  

One grilse on spinner on the lower river today & heard of a couple more caught.

Methods:   

Good for all methods at the moment.

Prospects: 

The forecast is dry for the next couple of days, so let's hope that this latest rise
will be enough to get fish moving.

Availability
There's no problem for availability of accommodation & fishing in the coming weeks.
