A slight rise, but excellent clarity...............................

Only 0.5mm rain fell at Ballyduff last night, but there must have been a fair bit more which fell in the upper catchment, as a rise came from the very top.

At Millstreet (80km upriver) the river was down to 0.81m at 21.45 last night, but rose 18cm to 0.99m at 07.45 this morning. It was down to 0.88m by 16.30.

At Mallow (47km upriver) the river was down to 1.12m at 02.00 last night,

but rose 9cm to 1.21m at 14.15 this morning.
It was down to 1.19m by 16.45.
At Fermoy (20km upriver) the river was down to 0.63m at 10.00 this morning and rose just 5cm to 0.68m at 16.45 this morning.
It was down to 1.19m by 16.45.

At Ballyduff, the river was down to 0.93m at 11.30 this morning,
but has risen to 0.99m by 21.00 & looks to be peaking.

(Please note that the gauge heights are arbitrary & not correlated to each other.0Clarity on the lower river is a good four feet.

Prospects
The weather forecast now indicates rather more rain towards the latter part of the week. The river should almost certainly be in good spinning order.
It remains to be seen yet if it will drop down to good fly height.
