There was a band of rain passed through the catchment last night.
I recorded 15mm on my rain gauge here.
The rain was evidently heaviest in the lower part of the catchment
as the upper river at Millstreet only rose 66cm whereas the lower river
is about to peak and is at 2.12 metres at 18.00 at Ballyduff.

The river at 10.05 this morning with the Ballyduff gauge on 1.30m.
The river at 14.45 this afternoon with the Ballyduff gauge on 1.83m.
The forecast is now cold & dry right through until Sunday at least
according to the Met Eireann 5 Day Forecast.
This should ensure that the river drops well once again
to within a week of the Opening Day on February 1st.
