The biggest flood so far this winter...................January 15th.



This was the Blackwater below the Lodge at midday on January 15th.
Ballyduff gauge height at that moment was 2.71m but still rising.
The flood peaked at 3.01 metres @ 04.00 on the 16th.
which is the highest that it has been all winter.
The water temperature at that time fell from it's average for the previous 4 weeks
of between 9 to 10.3ºC (48.2 to 50.5
ºF) to a low of 6.8ºC (44.2ºF) on the 16th.
