It’s a cloudy overcast day here. Air temperature was 12ºC at 08.00 this morning.
The forecast is now for broken weather from this morning through until next Wednesday. Rain is forecast for this morning & tomorrow afternoon with the most likelihood of heavier rain early/mid next week. High pressure is forecast to build again from Thursday next week.

The upper river is falling only very slowly & the Killavullen gauge is steady at 1.22m. Clarity on the upper river is 5-6 feet.

The lower river at Ballyduff is also falling only very slowly & is at 0.32m at 08.00. Clarity is about 5-6 feet.

Water temperature at    Ballyduff: 9.3ºC / 48.8ºF @ 08.00 today.
Water temperature at Killavullen:   13.4 – 12.0ºC / 56.1 – 53.6ºF.

Prospects.
Conditions are remain absolutely perfect for fly on both the lower & upper river. Fishing has been challenging, but hopefully the break in the weather will improve this with overcast weather & hopefully a rise in the river.

Catches.
Just one fish for us in the last week & a half with very few anglers fishing – nobody was out at all in the last 2 days! Just the odd report of fish moving on both the upper & lower river.
