Lower river is in good fly order & fining off nicely ………..

Conditions.
It was a mild overcast afternoon with the air temperature up to 9°C at 18.00. Tomorrow will continue mild due to prevailing south-westerly winds & the forecast is dry for tomorrow.
Through until early next week will be mainly overcast with
some occasional light rain probably heaviest tomorrow.

Spring Tides
Spring tides will peak at 4.2m at Youghal on Friday & Saturday this coming weekend which should encourage fresh fish to move into the main river.

The upper river is dropping away steadily again from it last small peak at midnight last night. This will ensure that the lower river continues to fine off.

The lower river is falling very slowly from 07.00 this morning.
It is at 0.61m at 21.45.

The clarity on the lower river this afternoon is ~3 feet at Ballyduff.

Water temperature at   Ballyduff: 8.0ºC / 46.4ºF @ 22.00.
Water temperature at Killavullen: 5.8ºC / 42.4ºF @ 22.00.

Prospects.
The river will be in good fly and spinning order tomorrow.
It should continue to improve up to and over the coming weekend.
