Biggest Fish of the Season caught today……..

Conditions.
It was a glorious sunny day here. High pressure will prevail right through the coming week. A depression & no rain is forecast for the next 8 days.

The upper river at Millstreet & Killavullen is almost steady. It is at 1.29m at 20.00 at Killavullen. Clarity on the upper river is 5-6 feet.

The lower river at Ballyduff is falling very slowly. It is at 0.37m at 20.00. Clarity is about 4-5 feet by evening.
Water temperature at Ballyduff: 10.4ºC / 50.7ºF.

Catches.

The Biggest Fish of the Season was caught today. It was taken by Dan O’Keefe (Cork) on prawn on the Lug Pool on Lower Kilmurry.

I also heard reports from the upper river of over a dozen fresh salmon (10-12lb.) caught in the Lombardstown/Millstreet area in the last couple of days, so they are still running hard.

Prospects.
Both the upper & lower river continue to be in cracking fly order.

Availability
