Yesterday’s rain had little effect on river but grilse are still coming!

Already the Fourth Best June Total since 2002.

Conditions.
8mm rain overnight. Dry bright day here now.

The upper river at Millstreet & Killavullen is up 1cm at 10.00 this morning.
Clarity on the upper river is 6-7 feet.

The lower river at Ballyduff is also up 1cm.  Clarity is about 6-7 feet.

Water temperature at Ballyduff: 11.1ºC / 52.0ºF.

Catches.

The final total for yesterday was 6 grilse – 3 each from the upper & lower river.
Already there are 2 more very fresh grilse reported from up river by 10.00 this morning.
We now have 63 fish for the month to date & 95 for the season so far.

Prospects.
Excellent for the coming days as more & more fish are running. There was a very good run of fish through our lower beats yesterday. There are also high tides next week peaking at 3.9m from Thursday to Saturday..

Availability.
No problem for rods & accommodation at the moment.
