Moderate conditions for the next couple of days but looking good for Easter weekend!

The river at 09.00 this morning. Gauge height: 0.96m

Conditions.
It was a very windy but mostly dry day here. The forecast is for another band of rain this afternoon,  rather broken up to Thursday, & then there is high pressure building from Friday right up to the middle of next week with calm conditions & little wind. Air temperature was +10 ºC at 15.00.

The upper river at Millstreet is now falling steadily once again.

The level of the middle river at Killavullen (37km upstream of the Lodge) is also falling steadily & is down to 1.71m at 09.15 today.

The lower river at Ballyduff peaked at 03.00 this morning - up 50cm to 1.09m. It is already back to 0.95m by 09.30.  Clarity is ~2-2½ feet.

Water temperature at    Ballyduff: 8.7ºC / 47.8ºF @ 09.30 today.
Water temperature at Killavullen:  9.8 – 8.4ºC / 49.6 – 47.1F @ 09.00.

Prospects.
The upper river is barely fly-fishable today & the lower river is too high.
It should be good for spinning throughout today as the clarity is quite good.
At least when we get moderate rises, the clarity improves very quickly.

Catches.
A good fish of 12-15lb. was lost on the Green Bank on Upper Kilmurry yesterday afternoon by one of the very few rods who ventured out.
