The river is coming down after the last small flood.

Conditions.
It’s a bright morning here. There was no rain across the catchment in the last 24 hours. The  forecast is for plenty of rain on Monday.

The upper river at Millstreet peaked at 13.30 yesterday – up 37cm but it has already fallen back 30cm by this morning.

At Killavullen the gauge peaked at 1.56m at midnight & is down to 1.45m today.
The clarity there is 2 feet at lunchtime today.

The lower river at Ballyduff peaked this morning at 07.00 at 0.57m – up 16cm but with good clarity.
Water temperature at Ballyduff: 10.3ºC / 51.0ºF & steady.

Prospects.
Should be excellent with this latest fresh on the river.  There were a few fish running the lower river yesterday & more the day before but this should improve with the higher water.

Catches.

Only a couple of rods out yesterday. No fish caught – just one met on spinner.
