The river is falling steadily & fining off beautifully ……

River picture was at 11.00 with Ballyduff gauge at 0.70m.
Conditions.
It’s a beautiful sunny morning with air temperature 7ºC at 08.30. It was dry overnight. The forecast is still for heavier rain tomorrow morning and then mainly dry thereafter.

The upper river at Millstreet is falling steadily & is now at it’s lowest level since May 1st.

The upper river at Killavullen is also falling steadily & is at it’s lowest level since May 5th. – now at 1.58m at 10.30 today 13th. Clarity at Mallow is ~ 3 feet this morning at 10.30.

The lower river at Ballyduff is down to 0.69m at 11.00 – also the lowest since May 5th. Clarity is ~3 feet today 13th.

Water temperature at Ballyduff: 9.8ºC / 50.0ºF @ 12.00 today.
Water temperature at Killavullen: 11.6 – 10.5 ºC / 52.9 – 50.9ºF.

Prospects.
The upper river is in reasonable fly order today. The lower river is in good spinning order but not quite fly-fishable yet.
A lot will depend on the rain forecast for tomorrow morning as to how conditions will be coming up to the weekend.

Catches.
Two fish which were probably grilse lost on spinner on the lower river yesterday & a few fish seen on the upper river. I heard of one caught on fly on private water around Killavullen this morning.
