Rain coming in tonight!



Conditions.
There is a band of rain coming across the catchment tonight. The radar picture shows the situation at 00.15. The  forecast is for unsettled weather into the weekend.
 
The upper river at Millstreet & Killavullen is holding steady for now. The Killavullen gauge is down to 1.33m at 23.00 this evening. Clarity on the upper river is now 5 feet.
 

The lower river at Ballyduff is falling steadily & is at 0.41m at 23.00 this evening. Clarity this evening is 5 feet.

Water temperature at Ballyduff: 10.2ºC / 50.8ºF & steady.

Prospects.
The river is in magnificent order -  perfect fly-fishable height & clarity throughout. Fishing remains challenging, but this could change with the impending rain.
