Still heavy, but better fly order than downriver.
Approaching the magic 1.60m here slowly but surely. Clarity about 4 feet.

Water temperature at Ballyduff: 8.3ºC / 47.0ºF @ 21.00.
Water temperature at Killavullen: 8.6ºC / 46.8ºF @ 21.00.
This is the first time the upper river has been warmer than the lower river.
Prospects.
The river is in excellent spinnable order today throughout today& should continue to improve during the day. It is now coming to fair fly order on the upper river as the height at Killavullen is below 1.66m. The lower river is still too high for fly-fishing – maybe tomorrow! All depends on how much rain falls overnight!
For the third day in a row another fresh springer was lost at Ballyhooly Bridge on spinner today.
