Hopefully the end of the rain for a week or so!

The river at 18.00 this evening peaking at 0.82m.

Conditions.
It was a mostly dry but very windy day. The forecast from tomorrow on with just occasional showers for tomorrow & Thursday. High pressure is building from Friday right up to the middle of next week with calm conditions & little wind.
Air temperature was +10 ºC at 18.00.

The upper river at Millstreet peaked yet again at 01.30 this morning – up 25cm. It then fell until mid-day and has risen slightly this evening due to showers in the upper catchment – peaking at 18.00 & now falling again.

The level of the middle river at Killavullen (37km upstream of the Lodge) peaked at 09.00 this morning at 1.77m. & has now fallen to 1.67m at 19.00. Clarity is 2 - 2½ feet.

The lower river at Ballyduff peaked at 0.82m at 18.00 & has just started to drop. Clarity then was about 2 - 2½ feet.

Water temperature at    Ballyduff: 8.8ºC / 47.8ºF @ 19.00 today.
Water temperature at Killavullen:  8.0 – 8.7ºC / 46.4 – 47.8ºF @ 19.00.

Prospects.
Excellent right through the coming weekend and into next week as there is now very little rain due and the winds will drop. Both the upper & lower river were spinnable today with moderate clarity of ~2 feet. The upper river should just come down to fly height tomorrow, and the clarity should improve quickly.
The lower river should just about be at fly height for Thursday onwards.
