Conditions.
It was a mostly dry but
very windy day. The forecast from tomorrow on with just occasional showers for
tomorrow & Thursday. High pressure is building from Friday right up to the
middle of next week with calm conditions & little wind.
Air temperature was +10 ºC at 18.00.
The upper river at Millstreet peaked yet again at 01.30 this morning – up 25cm. It then fell until mid-day and has risen slightly this evening due to showers in the upper catchment – peaking at 18.00 & now falling again.

The level of the middle river at Killavullen (37km upstream of the Lodge) peaked at 09.00 this morning at 1.77m. & has now fallen to 1.67m at 19.00. Clarity is 2 - 2½ feet.
The lower river at Ballyduff peaked at 0.82m at 18.00 & has just started to drop. Clarity then was about 2 - 2½ feet.

The lower river should just about be at fly height for Thursday onwards.

Prospects.
Excellent right through the
coming weekend and into next week as there is now very little rain due and the
winds will drop. Both the upper & lower river were spinnable today with
moderate clarity of ~2 feet. The upper river should just come down to fly height
tomorrow, and the clarity should improve quickly. The lower river should just about be at fly height for Thursday onwards.
