Yesterday’s flood falls & clears rapidly.……………………


Conditions.

No rain today. The forecast is for some more rain tomorrow & Thursday. High pressure then builds over Ireland & it should be dry from Friday right through the weekend.

The upper river at Millstreet (80km upstream of the Lodge) has fallen rapidly.
 

The middle river at Killavullen (37km upstream of the Lodge) also fell quickly & is at 1.67m @ 21.45.


The lower river also fell quickly & was @ 0.83m at 22.00 this evening.


Clarity throughout the river was good at about 3 feet by late afternoon.

Water temperature at    Ballyduff: 8.3ºC / 47.0ºF @ 22.00.

Water temperature at Killavullen: 7.2ºC / 45.0ºF @ 22.00.


Prospects.
The river was well spinnable today with the clarity improving to 3 feet later in the day.  Should be in excellent spinning order tomorrow (Wednesday)
& moderately fly-fishable on the upper beats.
