The upper river is rising again this morning!

The river below the Lodge at 08.10. Gauge height 0.72m & rising slightly.

Conditions.
It was mostly dry overnight across the catchment. The forecast remains rather broken up to Thursday, & then there is high pressure building from Friday right up to the middle of next week with calm conditions & little wind.
Air temperature was +7 ºC at 07.45.

The upper river at Millstreet rose again yesterday evening peaking at 01.30 this morning – up 25cm.

The level of the middle river at Killavullen (37km upstream of the Lodge) was falling until 22.00 last night. It is up 15cm at 07.45 & still rising slowly.

The lower river at Ballyduff has levelled at 0.71m at 07.45 but should start to rise. Clarity was only about 1 foot this afternoon.

Water temperature at   Ballyduff: 8.8ºC / 47.8ºF @ 08.00 today.
Water temperature at Killavullen:  8.7 – 8.1ºC / 47.6 – 46.6F @ 08.00

Prospects.
Both the upper & lower river are spinnable today with moderate clarity. Borderline too high for the fly throughout today. At least when we get moderate rises, the clarity improves very quickly.
